Find below all information for your Barcelona trip in 2024 including hotel recommendations, activities, sightseeing and more.
Best time to visit Barcelona?
Due to its Mediterranean weather, Barcelona makes a great travel destination all throughout the year with winter months being relatively mild.
HIGH SEASON: runs from June to September with tourists’ crowds flocking around the city, consequently driving the prices for accommodation and flights up high. However, these are also the warmest months with temperature rising to 30 Degrees making it the perfect travel months for beach lovers.
SHOULDER SEASON: runs from March to May with less tourists in the city and moderate prices for hotel and flight. The temperatures are warm with around 15-20 Degrees, however not yet warm enough to enjoy a swim in the beach.
LOW SEASON: runs from October to February. The weather is comparably still warm with temperature around 9-15 degrees. If you are a budget traveler, this might be your best travel season, if you can forego swimming in the beach.
How many days to spend in Barcelona?
With its many attractions and activities, you should plan at least four to five days for your Barcelona trip. You could see the city in less than four days, but remember that you are in a city, that is taking it more slowly with late mornings and late-night dinners and to really capture the essence and the pace of the city, I wouldn’t recommend rushing your trip.
